"Core sound, centered tone, and full range are all aspects of playing the trumpet I strive to maintain. One thing I have always tried to focus on is maintaining the quality of the lower range of notes as you are increasing the range to the upper register. With my Terry Warburton Custom mouthpiece I do not have to sacrifice tone to increase my range. My playing demands vary from big band to classical to jazz. Terry and Ken, with their aptitude for hearing the needs of their clients through feedback and sound testing, have designed the perfect set up with their unique mouthpiece system. Along with my Destino Custom Trumpet, this mouthpiece top combined with a #7 backbore compounds the core sound with a full-tone center.”
