Our Two Piece Trombone Mouthpieces are based on the Warburton System known to trumpet players - utilizing a separate Top and Backbore Section -  allowing the player to customize their equipment to best fit the playing context and personal preference.

To ensure compatibility between models, all standard Tenor cups and backbores have a bore size of 0.250". The ST series has a bore of 0.266, and the B series has a bore of 0.281". Different bore sizes are available upon request, but are treated as custom work and thus non-refundable.

CUP SHAPES

S

A shallow "bowl" shape.
The WARBURTON S cups are the shallowest pieces on the market.
For unusual upper register demands or the ALTO trombone, these models perform well.

M

These are medium depth with a modified "V" contour.
The M cup is preferred by players doing LEAD work in big bands.

D

These deep cups produce a very full sound and are our most popular models.

ST

The "SYMPHONY-TENOR" models are exactly that.
The large cup volume produces the ultimate in sound to fill the largest auditorium.
These cups should be used with the ST model backbores.

B

All of the B cups are very deep models that are intended for use with the BASS trombone.
Combined with the B series of backbores, these models will excel in the low register.
