My Warburton 1 ½ G is a beautifully designed bass trombone mouthpiece. I love it. As a doubler on TV shows like The Simpsons and King of the Hill, this mouthpiece helps me get the sound I am looking for. It makes the low register easier and more controllable than other mouthpieces I have owned and it has a very fast response. The Warburton 1 ½ G feels slightly bigger than Bach 1 ½ Gs I have played. It is my guess that, among other differences, the throat may be slightly bigger - making the low register easier to play, but the cup may be slighly shallower - which aids in keeping the middle and upper registers controllable. It is a wonderfully "balanced" mouthpiece. Thanks Terry!
