French Horn - Johan Warburton Print
I.D.: .670
O.D.: .990
Bore: 16
Cup: Medium Bowl Contour

Designed by Terry’s son Johan. This Signature mouthpiece gives the professional high horn player more security in the high range, while still maintaining a full sound in the low range. Taking inspiration from trumpet mouthpieces, the inner contour leans more towards a cup shape rather than the traditional funnel, making for solid partials and a very easy upper register.

Available in bore sizes of 12/14/16/18 (4.8/4.6/4.5/4.3mm approx)

Johan Warburton studied at Columbus State University under the tutelage of Jason Eklund and Anna Dodd, before departing for Europe to continue his education with American Horn Quartet founder David Johnson at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, where he received a Master’s Degree in Music Performance. During his time abroad he has been engaged with multiple ensembles and programs around Switzerland, including the CSI Philharmonic, Boswil Contemporary Ensemble, Lugano Chamber Orchestra, Berner Kammerorchester, and the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. In February of 2018 he will appear alongside fellow Warburton Artist Hubertus Schmidt as a soloist with the Staatskapelle Halle in Germany. In addition to his performing career, he acts as our European representative, and can be contacted in English, German, or Italian.
