Originally from Tanzania, East Africa. Fayyaz moved to London England at an early age and soon began to play trombone and euphonium at school. He was a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Great Britain and later founder member of the Jazz Warriors along with Cleveland Watkiss and Courtenay Pine. Fayyaz has also been commissioned by the BBC, Channel 4, Discovery and Channel 5 to compose music for TV.
At present Fayyaz is a member of the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. He works as freelance trombonist in and around London and also composes and arranges for many different ensembles. He has tutored at Birmingham Conservatoire and presently is Trombone tutor at the London College of Contemporary Music.
